Happy Holidays

It's that time of year again! The temperatures are dropping, Santa's hard at work, and you're wondering how you are going to accomplish everything that is on your “to-do list”. The holiday season is an exciting time of year, but also a very stressful one. There are so many things to do, including purchasing gifts, decorating, and attending parties. The holidays can also be a depressing time of year for many, especially the elderly who are often isolated from friends and family. Though, this time of year is very busy, it's important that we don't forget the elders of our community. We must reach out to older relatives, visit our elderly neighbors and invite them into our homes. It's also important to check on them during the cold winter days to make sure that they have heat, electricity and food. Most important we need to let them know that they're not alone and that we care.

An important community resource is Coastline Elderly Services, Inc. Coastline offers many programs to help aide the elderly. Our case management program insures that each elder is receiving the care that they need, such as daily meals, help with personal grooming, help with light chores, help with managing monthly bills, volunteer positions, and so much more.
